Biorock, what is it? Biorock is a white limestone, it is created by “the Biorock method”, it applies safe, low voltage electrical currents through the water, causing dissolved minerals minerals to crystallize onto structures growing into a white limestone close to that which naturally makes up coral reefs, to substitute for lost coral. (biorock.org/2021)

I think the the Biorock method is a great way to create artificial coral for coral reef ecosystems to stay sustainable ecosystems. I know that putting an electrical current through the water sounds wrong, but the current is so small that it is harmless, if we used solar panels to provide the power for the electrical current, it could be a completely environmentally friendly way to rebuild something that also benefits thousands or animals, organisms, and micro organisms.

The results of this action are immense, the fact that we can create something natural to substitute for coral to help rebuild coral reefs, and that we can do it in such a natural way is amazing.
