action plan for Haiti
ByHaiti’s island is becoming increasingly deforested and smaller due to charcoal making and other polluting ways that the Hattians make their money, it is hard for the Hattians to stop making charcoal because 59% of Hattians live under the poverty line and most citizens make their living off charcoal production plus, the Hattians use the charcoal to cook their food and other things that require fuel. We are trying to fix Haiti’s problem with charcoal production by giving them a better solution then charcoal like solar energy, by giving Haiti better ways to cook their food and more environmentally safe way to produce energy. Loune Viaud (owner of Zammi Lasante) and the Anna Faith Jones (the creator of the Boston foundation) these two people have had a large impact on Haiti and others as both of then focus of different but needed things for Haiti repair itself, as Zammi Lisante is a health organization that works in various place that need them, and the Boston foundation that has started fund raisers to help Haiti as it is a very poor country any money can go a long way. the money needed to preform this plan could be fundraised as many organizations already financially support Haiti, and any other costs could be taken from the small fee for the solar panels, and even if there’s still more costs like paying people to distribute these solar panels, Haiti is a large export to the US and Canada exporting things like clothing, scrap metal, vegetable oil and cocoa, with these solar panels Hattians health could improve and with better supplies Haiti could grow to be less poor and unhealthy and increase working efficiency, so in time the investment would be worth it. this plan would take years depending on how bad Haiti is already, within 6 months there would be at least notable changes like more citizens with health problems being able to take up less unhealthy jobs like managing the panels, about the same time there would be more technology in work like managing funds for the exporting business’s (so the injured can actually work). in a couple years tech should be very integrated within the community and businesses, all these steps increase efficiency of exports. the increased jobs for exporting and manufacturing clothing should increase the growth and valubility and interest to tourists, Haiti growing could make the US think of Haiti as more valuable, with the increased attention from the US Haiti could begin to re-grow and repair the damage they have done to their forests.
