Action Plan
ByPesticides in farming are leeching into bodies of water, It affects all communities because the pesticides can pollute drinking water especially in Northern Indigenous communities. It can also affect fish and other animals that many people hunt. The people who are responsible for the pesticides are the farmers that used them and the government for allowing it. The thing I want to do is get harmful farming pesticides banned and replaced with anything that can’t pollute our water. The way I can do this is the help of David Schindler and Jagmeet Singh, David Schindler can help with the amount of information about water pollution and how to clean the already polluted waters. they way Jagmeet Singh can help is with his platform and if he wins the next election he can ban the pesticides being used and with government funding he can also help with the already polluted water. The resources to help with this goal is a lot of funding to clean all natural body’s of water in Canada another thing we would need is for Jagmeet Singh to win the election. we would also need a lot of people to help clean the water after the pesticides are banned.
We as a nation can start cleaning body’s of water even though there is little to none funding, we can also try to convince farmers to use more environmentally friendly pesticides, the last short term thing we can do is with the help of David Schindler we can think of ideas on how we can clean the water and when it will be done and what we need to finish the cleaning, in 2025 if Jagmeet Singh wins the Canadian election we will be able to get the funding and the banning of pesticides.
