Action plan by deacon

1 My issue is overfishing and destructive fishing practices. Overfishing is when a fishing group or individuals take too many fish out of the lakes or sea not giving enough time or fish for them to repopulate. It happens with lots of different species of fish, some could go extinct because of it.

2 Somethings that I think would help overfishing are, leaving fish with enough time to repopulate, raise the price you sell the fish for therefore less people want the fish and that means fishermen don’t have to take as much. They could also have a variety of spots that they get the fish from so that they don’t target one area until there are none of that species.

3 A team could be a community of people such as starting a go fund me and raise money. Then contribute that money into helping to get a law for limiting the number of fish being taken a year.

There is a organization called Greenpeace international that is trying to stop overfishing or in the least slow it down https://www.greenpeace.org/canada/en/ their goal is to change the attitude globally and conserve the environment.

4 Resources could be to start a protest if we have a protest that could chance peoples minds on the fact and have more people on board. We also could have a petition for people to sign online to help up the chances of something being done about this environmental issue.

5 Some goals to try and hit could be:

Short term: 

• Getting a certain amount of money raised.
• Get people on board with the fact of this environmental issue.
• Make it go viral.
• Have more important people see and post about it.

Long term:

• Have laws put into place.
• Regrowth the population of fish that were once endangered.
