coral bleaching is happening because the temperature rising in the water. and it is killing the coral and turning them white. bleaching occurs when the coral expels the algae living inside their tissue. “corals are stressed by changes in environmental conditions”. we can use electricity to help regrow the coral reefs, divers are attempting to regrow the Great Barrier Reef with electricity. scientist in India have proven that we can use electricity to regrow the coral reefs and now we are trying to regrow the Great Barrier Reef.

the team i am choosing is the EPA, the EPA is protecting the coral reefs by implementing clean water act programs that protect the water and put them in sheds and costal zones of coral reef areas. They are developing new tools to help adapt coral reefs to better changing conditions. The reason i selected this team is because they are the environmental protection agency and they are an independent executive agency o the united states. the first ever event that started EPA was the Cuyahoga river fire.

the lose of coral reefs caused by rising sea temperatures could cost up to 1 trillion dollars globally. it cost 5 dollars per piece of coral. and for the Great Barrier Reef it would cost 200 billion dollars. it would be 500-1000 dollars to get a brand new coral reef for a fish tank. coral is slowly growing and it takes about 10 years to regrow a reef of coral. “by 2049, we are expecting annual bleaching events in the tropics, pushing reefs beyond recovery.
