Letter To The Editor
ByDear Editor,
We need to talk about some things real quick. In Borneo, there has been talk putting in another hydroelectric dam. May I ask why? The other hydroelectric dams have polluted Sulphur into the air, and other bad chemicals. It has taken the land of the people who are living there, and has lived there all their lives. Also, when the native people drink the water, it gives them diarrhea. this is not healthy for people. Are we really that desperate for that energy when people are getting sick and having this pollution in the air, and are breathing it.
They are also forcing animals to leave there home, and taking them all out of there habitat. They will also have no more farm land. The Native people who live there has built there lives out of using the resources that are there, and with putting in a hydroelectric dam it will take all those resources away. How would you like it if you got taken away everything in your life and everything you did growing up and the way you do stuff? That is what is happening to these native people in Borneo.
We can help them by supporting the cause of not putting in a hydroelectric dam!
