coral bleaching is a big issue in the coral reef ecosystems, the coral turns white when they die. when the ocean environment changes. for example when the water is to hot the coral expels the algae from its tissue causing it to turn white and die.

There are a lot of factors that make coral bleaching, and some are chemicals from the periodic table. like cyanide, carbon dioxide.

cyanide- coral bleaching happens when people use cyanide to fish.

carbon dioxide- when people pollute the oceans and carbon dioxide gets in the coral reefs.
