limiting factors of overfishing blog #3

Some limiting factors may include:

-Removal of Essential Predators. This could be an issue because if there are no predators to lower the population of some fish they could keep reproducing and overpopulate causing them to eat too much of their food source and could wipe out different species or make themselves go extinct.

-Growth of Algae. As more algae and plants grow, others die. This dead organic matter becomes food for the bacteria that decomposed it. With more food available, the bacteria increase in number and use up the dissolved oxygen in the water. When the dissolved oxygen content decreases, many fish and aquatic insects cannot survive.

the recent human interference has basically caused major shifts in dominance of the fish community structures because of eutrophication, alterations in the abundance of eel or crayfish, and due to overfishing.
