You might be wondering how the periodic table is related to cutting down trees there are two main elements in cutting down theses trees oxygen, carbon. I chose these 2 because these will be the 2 main problems we will have.
Oxygen plays a critical role in respiration in metabolisms of most living things. We humans, along with many other creatures, need oxygen in the air we breathe to stay alive. Oxygen is generated during photosynthesis by plants and other many types of little fungi’s or microbes. If we need oxygen to stay alive why are we cutting down trees then well we still need wood. If we were to plant more trees after we were to cut them down then that would be better. They say if we keep going how were going with pollution there might not be enough oxygen to breathe in about 100 years. The trees wont be able to produce enough!Burning fossil fuels like gasoline and diesel releases carbon dioxide, a greenhouse gas, into the atmosphere. .Greenhouse gas emissions account for about 29 percent of total U.S. (our neighbor’s that’s not good) greenhouse gas emissions, making it the largest contributor of U.S. emissions. Carbon can also be natural animal waste etc. The trees remove some of our carbon from the air which is good so it doesn’t hit the atmosphere. If we have a lack of trees that means more carbon going into the atmosphere breaking the ozone layer! We need trees!!
