Activists in Haiti
ByMy first activists are Aiden McIntyre and Dr. Foran. In 2019, they made a document full of the issues in Haiti with explanations as to exactly what is happening and what has happened in the country of Haiti to cause the soil erosion. It goes into detail about the deforestation, soil erosion, how this all started, the efforts to fix the issue, as well as what this issue has done to the government of Haiti. They greatly outlined the issues in the nation, which not many other people have done in that amount of detail. There are not many people who have spoken out about this issue very much, which is quite shocking considering the damage that this has inflicted on the land.
My second activists, or in this case, group of activists, is the people from betteruniverseandcitizens.org. They are proposing solutions and directly helping the people of Haiti who are being affected by this issue. They are one of the few organizations actually taking action and gathering support from the community as to stop the issue so that the people of Haiti can live safely and happily without dealing with the negative affects of deforestation and soil erosion. They are trying to educate everyone on the terrible things happening in Haiti and they are also gathering donations to put a stop to this environmental disaster. Better Universe and Citizens is a non-profit organization which is based in Tallahassee, Florida. They specialize in re-planting trees and re-grassing land which has been destroyed, like in Haiti.
